Now then,
No-one seems to have tested and posted on this yet, so I did some mucking about on sisi this evening.
Damage rigs
I tested on a ruppy with a 220mm T2 autocannon. I was using the T1 damage rig (+10% damage) and gyro II's (also 10% damage)
0 rigs 0 Gyro II = 5.142 damage mod. 1 Gyro II = 5.656 2 Gyro II = 6.148 3 Gyro II = 6.499
1 rig 0 Gyro II = 5.656 1 Gyro II = 6.148 2 Gyro II = 6.499 3 Gyro II = 6.683
2 rigs 0 Gyro II = 6.148 1 Gyro II = 6.499 2 Gyro II = 6.683 3 Gyro II = 6.753
As you can see, the rig stacks along with the module - so putting extra damage rigs on top of existing damage mods will do little.
As expected, the disadvantage isn't stacking penalised. With the rig skill at level 3, a 7% grid increase is expected.
0 rig = 103.4 Power Grid 1 rig = 110.64 2 rig = 118.38 3 rig = 126.67
103.4 x 1.07 x 1.07 x 1.07 = 126.67 Power Grid
RoF rigs
Basically the same behavior is seen for the RoF rigs as the damage rigs above. They stack together with the damage module. The RoF rig gives 10% bonus, a Gyro II gives 10.5% bonus.
0 rigs 0 Gyro II = 2.55 sec 1 Gyro II = 2.28 2 Gyro II = 2.08 3 Gyro II = 1.95
1 rigs 0 Gyro II = 2.30 1 Gyro II = 2.09 2 Gyro II = 1.96 3 Gyro II = 1.90
2 rigs 0 Gyro II = 2.10 1 Gyro II = 1.97 2 Gyro II = 1.90 3 Gyro II = 1.88
Armour HP rigs
As above, I tried several rigs alongside 400mm plate rolled tungsten plates, to see whether anything was penalised. Unlike damage mods, plates do not have a stacking penalty on them currently. Armour rigs give 10% hp boost.
Base plate hp = 1344 With skills = 1344 x 1.25 = 1680
0 rigs 0 400mm = 2462 hp's 1 400mm = 4142 2 400mm = 5822 3 400mm = 7502
2462 + (1680 x 3) = 7502 hp's
So, CCP haven't stealthily slapped a stacking penalty on plates :)
0 plates 0 rig = 2462 hp's 1 rig = 2708 2 rig = 2944 3 rig = 3112
2462 x 1.1 x 1.1 x 1.1 = 3277 hp's
So, the armour rigs have a stacking penalty applied. Rather than a 33% modifier, we get a 26% modifier:
3112/2462 = 1.264
This is exactly the same modifer we get from 3 damage mods (using numbers from above):
6.499/5.142 = 1.264
Best check plates and armour rigs combined:
3 rigs 0 400mm = 3112 hp's 1 400mm = 5235 2 400mm = 7358 3 400mm = 9481
[2462 + (1680 x 3)] x 1.264 = 9482
Close enough, 1 hp out due to my laziness with rounding properly :)
I was going to look at a few more, but sisi booted me off before I could. Anyway, I hope this is enlightening for some. (And tells the devs that these rigs are stacking penaltied correctly or not!)
Cheers,
Max
